普化宗(ふけしゅう)

開祖は９世紀の中国・唐代の禅僧であるとされています。日本仏教の禅宗のひとつで、日本へは鎌倉時代に伝来しました日本の祖は法燈円明国師(心地覚心)で尺八を愛好されたいわれてる。 虚鐸（尺八）を吹きながら行脚修行した虚無僧が有名。 。江戸時代には幕府が普化宗の虚無僧に自由往来の特権を与え、密偵として使ったとされています。 明治４年（１８７１）普化宗は新政府により、廃止され、虚無僧は民籍に編入されました。

It is said to have been founded by a Zen monk in the Tang Dynasty of China in the 9th century. It is one of the Zen sects of Japanese Buddhism and was introduced to Japan during the Kamakura period. It is said that the founder of Japan was Hotoenmyo Kokushi (also known as Shitokakushin), who loved the shakuhachi. The komuso who performed ascetic training while playing the kyotaku (shakuhachi) is famous. 。 It is said that during the Edo period, the government granted the Fuke sect komuso the privilege of free passage and used them as spies. In 1871 (1871), the Fuke sect was abolished by the new government, and komuso were incorporated into Minseki.

和宗(四天王寺)

八宗兼学の寺であった仏教の諸宗派にはこだわらない全仏教的な立場から、1946年（昭和21年）に「和宗」として独立。
※八宗兼学：8つの宗派の教義を併せて学ぶこと※八宗：真言宗・天台宗・日蓮宗・曹洞宗・臨済宗・浄土宗・時宗・浄土真宗

四天王寺は、推古天皇元年（593）に建立されました。今から1400年以上も前のことです。『日本書紀』の伝えるところでは、物部守屋と蘇我馬子の合戦の折り、崇仏派の蘇我氏についた聖徳太子が形勢の不利を打開するために、自ら四天王像を彫りもし、この戦いに勝利したら、四天王を安置する寺院を建立しこの世の全ての人々を救済する」と誓願され、勝利の後その誓いを果すために、建立されました。（四天王寺HP参照）

Shitenno-ji Temple was built in the first year of Emperor Suiko's reign (593). It was more than 1400 years ago. According to "Nihon Shoki" (The Chronicles of Japan), at the time of the battle between Mononobe no Moriya and Soga no Umako, Prince Shotoku, who sided with the pro-Buddhist Soga clan, carved statues of the Shitenno himself in order to overcome the odds and vowed that if he won this battle, he would build a temple housing the Shitenno to relieve all the people of this world, and it was built to fulfill this vow after his victory.

修験宗/修験道（しゅげんどう）

修験道は山岳崇拝の精神を基とし、厳しい山々で修行し、困苦を忍び、心身を修練し、悟りを開いて仏果を得る、という出家・在家を問わない菩薩道、即身即仏を実修する日本古来の宗教です。（聖護院HP参照）
